SMART Lab

A first-of-its-kind Virtual Prototyping Lab (SMART Lab), developed under the Chips to Start-up (C25) program at NIELIT. The SMART remote lab facility is available 24x7 & the students, researchers can access the facility, anytime and anywhere. It is a platform to skill youths in VLSI/Embedded System/Electronic Product Design domain.

Cyber Forensics Lab

Cyber Forensics R&D Lab is a state-of-the-art facility, among the few in the country equipped with an advanced forensics data center. With expertise in handling over 600 cyber-crime cases, the lab provides crucial technical support to law enforcement agencies.

NIELIT Virtual Academy

NIELIT Virtual Academy extends the reach of NIELIT across India, bridging the urban-rural divide. It offers affordable, anytime-anywhere learning through modern digital technologies. The platform provides an AI-enabled immersive learning experience, tailored to the needs of students, professionals, and organizations. Leveraging technology and psychology, it adapts to evolving educational demands.

ICSAS App

Initiatives for Cyber Security Aware Society (ICSAS), a mobile app, is available in 16 Indian and 7 international languages, i.e., French, Spanish, German, Russian, Mandarin, Arabic & Bahasa Indonesia. It offers cybersecurity learning resources, interactive games, quizzes, and practical tools like e-certificates. The app also provides easy cyber incident reporting with GeoLocation to locate nearby police stations, network carriers, and bank helplines.

Library

National Knowledge Network (NKN)

National Knowledge Network (NKN) is a Smart Ultra High Bandwidth Network that seamlessly interconnects the leading scientific and technological institutions, pursuing world-class research and development programs. The sole aim of NKN is to establish a strong and robust Indian network that will be capable of providing secure and reliable connectivity. The leading mission-oriented agencies in the fields of nuclear, space, and defense research are also part of NKN.

The purpose of NKN goes to the very core of the country's quest for building quality institutions with requisite research facilities and to create a pool of highly trained professionals. The Centre is part of NKN and can seamlessly connect at gigabit speed and enables students, scientists, and researchers to work together for accessing information to stimulate research and create next-generation applications & services in critical and emerging areas.

Placement Assistance and Support

The Placement Cell was set up with the objective to give our students the best jobs and career opportunities. Tech varta sessions, Placement Drives, Expert Lectures, Skill Development Programs, Personality Development Sessions, Career Enhancement through Counselling, and Corporate Alliances are regularly conducted for the placement of students.

There is an actively engaged Alumni Cell to build an alumni network which can give a sense of belonging, help build relationships, enhance knowledge, and expand the community of engaged alumni serving as a resource in the field of Computer Science and Electronics. The Cell keeps the legacy going and ensures that future generations of students benefit from it.

Anti-Ragging Cell

As per the decision of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in writ petition no - (C) 656/1998 regarding prevention and prohibition of ragging in technical institutions, NIELIT has constituted an active Anti-Ragging Cell under the headship of the Principal to curb the menace of ragging. A committee of teaching faculty and administrators takes anti-ragging measures and stringent steps against any act of ragging on the campus. The Anti-Ragging Squad conducts surprise visits to hostels and keeps vigilance on the entire campus.

The institute also takes the assistance of professional counsellors to counsel students to prepare them for the life ahead, particularly for adjusting to life in hostels. Apart from this, Joint Awareness Drives and counselling of both freshers and seniors are also organized in the institution from time to time by professional counsellors to generate an atmosphere of discipline by sending a clear message that “no act of ragging shall be tolerated and any act of ragging shall not go unnoticed or unpunished.” Thus, the cell plays an invaluable role in ensuring the harmony of campus life and makes it a zero-ragging campus.
